FACILITIES ASSISTANT

Our client, a global insurance firm seek a Facilities Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis.

This is an extremely exciting time to join the company as they will be moving offices soon! Giving the facilities assistant great exposure to a variety of responsibilities and the opportunity to upskill and develop their skills.

Facilities Assistant - The Role

You will report directly to the M&E Contracts Manager, onsite in their central London Offices and will be responsible for a variety of duties such as;

  • Complete Daily Walkarounds
  • Monitor Health & Safety
  • General Maintenance
  • Post Room Duties
  • Assist with Office Move/Moving of furniture etc.
  • Oversee maintenance/building contractors and to document the work.
  • Call out for out of hours problems as required.
  • Management of basement/storage and maintaining an inventory
  • Support Reception as and when needed and aid in booking and setting up meeting rooms.
  • Preparing refreshments, clearing meeting rooms, and ordering catering as needed
  • Arranging security passes
  • Booking outgoing couriers
  • Liaising with contractors and suppliers on a daily basis
  • Ad hoc administration duties as needed.

As the Facilities Assistant you must have:

  • Previous Facilities/Front of House experience is essential.
  • Basic Understanding of Health and Safety
  • Excellent client facing and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritise a busy workload.
  • A can do, adaptable working style.
  • The ability to learn new processes quickly.
  • Flexibility for occasional out of hours calls over the weekend/evenings (This will be compensated with overtime pay)
  • Ability to commute to London as the base and the Redhill site on occasion.
